Residents along Longfellow St NW are using lawn chairs and car seats to reserve parking spots for themselves, preventing myself and others from parking in clean, shoveled spots on the street near my house. Residents should not be able to reserve street parking that is open to all residents. This is unfair as I have trouble finding parking after work and parked far and walked 10 min. to my house while residents are selfishly reserving clean parking spots.
